Back
[00:00:01] <Lcvette> thats what you built?
[00:00:44] <hazzy-m> yes, it does not look like much on the surface, but its very significan changes elswere
[00:00:47] <Lcvette> so now its like mach3
[00:00:58] <hazzy-m> kinda, yes
[00:01:02] <Lcvette> gotcha
[00:01:15] <Lcvette> can launch mill, lathe etc
[00:01:21] <Lcvette> this will be how you launch linuxcnc?
[00:01:25] <Lcvette> on the machine?
[00:01:28] <hazzy-m> and the VCPs are indevidual packages, that is why you had to run the setup.py command, it installed them
[00:01:35] <hazzy-m> yes
[00:01:39] <Lcvette> nice
[00:01:40] <Lcvette> !
[00:01:41] <Lcvette> i like it
[00:02:04] <hazzy-m> of couce in the INI you can specify a default one and skip the launcher if you want
[00:03:13] <hazzy-m> one more thing and ill let you go back to watever you were doing
[00:03:18] <hazzy-m> run:
[00:03:21] <hazzy-m> `export PATH=$PATH:~/.local/bin/`
[00:04:03] <hazzy-m> and then run `qtpyvcp -h`
[00:04:26] <hazzy-m> oops, that fails :(
[00:04:29] <hazzy-m> bug
[00:05:00] <hazzy-m> try `brender -h`
[00:05:20] <hazzy-m> and it will show you all the options
[00:05:23] <Lcvette> in what terminal?
[00:05:32] <hazzy-m> the same one you have been using
[00:05:44] <hazzy-m> actioaly any one is OK
[00:06:58] * Lcvette sent a long message: < https://matrix.org >
[00:07:40] <hazzy-m> so you can do things like `brender --ini=path/to/ini --fullscreen`
[00:07:47] <hazzy-m> and it will launch fullscreen
[00:08:20] <Lcvette> sweety
[00:08:23] <hazzy-m> that is the same command you would put for [DISPLAY]DISPLAY in your INI
[00:08:58] <hazzy-m> so for example `probebasic --fullscreen --log-level=DEBUG`
[00:09:16] <Lcvette> nice
[00:09:29] <hazzy-m> actualy `DISPLAY=probebasic --fullscreen --log-level=DEBUG` :P
[00:09:32] <Lcvette> and when would i do this?
[00:09:55] <hazzy-m> For your actual machine config
[00:10:14] <hazzy-m> right now you are using the sim configs that ship with QtPyVCP
[00:10:32] <hazzy-m> but for a real application that is how you would specify the UI
[00:10:32] <Lcvette> i see
[00:11:17] <hazzy-m> so now ProbeBasic has been upgraded to somthing on the level of axis or gmoccapy!
[00:11:50] <Lcvette> nice
[00:12:01] <Lcvette> im still plenmty confused
[00:12:06] <Lcvette> lol im sorry
[00:12:21] <Lcvette> but im working on a tired brain
[00:12:37] <hazzy-m> that's fine, it will make more since once you start using it
[00:12:43] <Lcvette> yeah
[00:12:56] <Lcvette> once i put it to use it will make better sense im sure
[00:13:09] <Lcvette> right now its alot of influx
[00:13:43] <hazzy-m> right, and you don't even have that much experiance with axis or gmoccapy, so everything is new
[00:13:50] <Lcvette> i think i understand some of it
[00:13:58] <Lcvette> yes precisely
[00:14:06] <Lcvette> none with axis
[00:14:14] <Lcvette> only very little with gmochappy
[00:14:31] <Lcvette> gmoccapy
[00:15:24] <hazzy-m> I like gmochappy xD
[00:15:25] <hazzy-m> we should make a clone called that
[00:15:47] <Lcvette> we should get youy some blinders
[00:16:02] <Lcvette> finish one first
[00:16:11] <hazzy-m> LOL
[00:16:15] <hazzy-m> so true
[00:16:24] <hazzy-m> I'm not ADD at all
[00:16:24] <hazzy-m> :D
[00:17:00] <Lcvette> need to ship you some adderall\
[00:17:11] <hazzy-m> hahahaha
[00:17:42] <Lcvette> probably would have been finishing a lathe interface by now
[00:18:57] <hazzy-m> actually, I stay on task pretty well, but when chatting I like throwing out ideas, I PROMISE
[00:19:00] <hazzy-m> LOL
[00:19:14] <hazzy-m> it's not as bad as it seems
[00:19:22] <hazzy-m> (that's what I like to think)
[00:19:27] <Lcvette> lol
[00:19:42] <Lcvette> sp whats left?
[00:20:14] <hazzy-m> next I'm going to break probe basic out into its own repository
[00:20:22] <Lcvette> :(
[00:20:25] <hazzy-m> and then work on all the buttons
[00:20:40] <hazzy-m> I promise, it will be SO much easyer to work with
[00:20:42] <Lcvette> it will be lonely
[00:20:57] <Lcvette> redheaded step child
[00:21:04] <hazzy-m> No, there well be plenty of other VCPs to keep it company
[00:21:12] <hazzy-m> (I need those blinders)
[00:21:54] <Lcvette> the land where lost toys go
[00:22:04] <hazzy-m> xD
[00:22:36] <hazzy-m> since it is your baby do you want it under your account, or are you fine with it being under the hazzy org?
[00:23:04] <Lcvette> https://www.youtube.com
[00:23:17] <Lcvette> yours is better i think
[00:23:30] <Lcvette> i don't know how to tell people what to do
[00:23:38] <hazzy-m> LOL
[00:23:52] <hazzy-m> ok, that is probably better
[00:24:10] <hazzy-m> just wanted to make sure
[00:27:28] <Lcvette> Yeah that would be wisest

[00:54:41] <hazzy-m> Hey, the initial commit on this was 6/13/18, we've done realy well to get this far in that amount of time!
[00:56:07] <hazzy-m> Ok, got a whole bunch of old merged branches cleaned up
[00:57:36] <hazzy-m> gn8
[08:01:47] <Lcvette> awesome!!!
[08:02:27] <jthornton> morning
[08:05:38] <Lcvette> morning
[08:05:45] <Lcvette> i finally have some birds!!
[08:06:28] <hazzy-m> Morning
[08:07:03] <Lcvette> so far ive seen a tufted titmouse, a golden finch, a cardinal and a blue bird at the feeder
[08:07:29] <hazzy-m> Nice!
[08:07:29] <Lcvette> cats love it, they sit and chatter at them
[08:07:47] <hazzy-m> Tufted titmice are one of my favorite
[08:07:51] <hazzy-m> Lol
[08:08:09] <Lcvette> i didnt know what they were until yesterday
[08:08:18] <Lcvette> i had to look up each one
[08:08:24] <jthornton> put out bird seed and they will come
[08:08:26] <hazzy-m> They'd probably like to snack on them
[08:08:28] <Lcvette> except the cardinal
[08:08:39] <Lcvette> more likely play with them
[08:11:06] <Lcvette> just had another bird i didnt recognize.. had a big thingy on its head like the titmouse but was bigger and a brown or almost bronze color
[08:11:20] <Lcvette> almopst twice the size of the titmice
[08:11:39] <hazzy-m> Maybe a brown thrasher
[08:11:48] <Lcvette> brown thrasher
[08:11:56] <Lcvette> whoops..wrong keyboard
[08:12:03] <hazzy-m> Lol
[08:14:54] <Lcvette> lolnorth carolina birds
[08:17:47] <hazzy-m> Do you not have thrashers up there? They are so cool, like mocking birds but more creative and not do cocky
[08:18:46] <hazzy-m> We have Carolina chickites here 😛
[08:23:02] <Lcvette> not sure
[08:23:04] <Lcvette> this was not as thrasher
[08:23:09] <Lcvette> it has me stumped
[08:23:33] <Lcvette> it looks maybe like it was a darker colored cardinal
[08:23:51] <Lcvette> but it was really pretty like a shimmering bronzey brown
[08:23:58] <hazzy-m> oh, probably a female cardinal
[08:24:01] <Lcvette> with the big head plumer
[08:24:20] <Lcvette> ahhhh
[08:24:28] <Lcvette> i didn't known females were different colors
[08:24:31] <Lcvette> lol
[08:25:43] <Lcvette> https://youtu.be
[08:25:47] <hazzy-m> yes, the females are generally much more nondescript, I guess so they are harder to spot in the nest, and the male can provide some diversion tactics :D
[08:25:58] <Lcvette> there is my little titmice
[08:27:03] <hazzy-m> cool, he is good sized!
[08:27:45] <Lcvette> yeah?
[08:27:57] <Lcvette> maybe not a titmice?
[08:28:06] <hazzy-m> The titmice and the carolina chickadee's are my favorite birds. the chickadee look like they have a tux on
[08:28:44] * hazzy-m uploaded an image: index.jpeg (7KB) < https://matrix.org >
[08:28:58] <Lcvette> nice
[08:29:43] <Lcvette> titmouse
[08:30:20] <hazzy-m> that is a titmouse
[08:30:29] * Lcvette uploaded an image: image.png (2787KB) < https://matrix.org >
[08:30:36] <Lcvette> yeah thats him alright
[08:31:44] <Lcvette> oooh do you know a smaller bird that is kind of golden in color with a dark stripe down each size that chirps alot and like to hop around
[08:33:17] <hazzy-m> hmm, maybe a pine siskin
[08:34:34] <Lcvette> I had a couple of them earlier but didn't get a picture in time
[08:34:51] <Lcvette> they were cute
[08:35:03] <Lcvette> I had one in my shop a couple weeks ago
[08:35:15] <Lcvette> he did NOT want to leave
[08:35:58] <Lcvette> I had in advertently closed the doors not knowing he was in there and an hour later heard him chirping from inside the house
[08:37:08] <Lcvette> I went out and saw him and he hopped all over the place playing chase. I opened both bay doors and he went to the edge looked out saw all his buddies in the lawn and turned around and went back inside the shop
[08:37:57] <Lcvette> took me over an hour to finally get him to go out.. o tried the leaf blower.. didn't work he just sat there like it was fun
[08:39:04] -!- JT-Shop has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[08:39:12] <Lcvette> finally I chased him to a corner and he happened to see a bug in the grass just outside and hopped out and over to the bug and I shut the door
[08:39:29] -!- JT-Shop has joined #hazzy
[08:39:55] <Lcvette> he managed to crap on about EVERYtHING in the shop... couldn't believe a small birr could poop so much
[08:41:25] <hazzy-m> LOL, its amazing what they can do when they are scared
[09:26:50] <Lcvette> for sure!!
[09:26:55] <Lcvette> i waS SCARED FOR HIM
[09:27:41] <Lcvette> i needed him out and did not want the poor fella to wind up like the lizards and frogs that manage to slip in when the doors go up dried up to a husk in a corner somewhere to be found on a cleaning day
[09:28:33] <Lcvette> bad vortec spider
[10:07:33] <jthornton> it's not easy to get a bird out of the garage...
[10:16:03] * hazzy-m uploaded an image: Screenshot_2018-10-04_10-15-50.png (15KB) < https://matrix.org >
[10:16:57] <hazzy-m> LoadMeter can now very horizontal or vertical and the text font and color can be changed
[10:17:17] <hazzy-m> very => be lol
[10:17:38] <jthornton> hmm vertical needs vertical text?
[10:17:41] <hazzy-m> need to make the text rotate too
[10:18:17] <hazzy-m> yes, great minds think alike :D
[10:18:38] <hazzy-m> It is all done with custom painters, so its going to be a pain to rotate :(
[10:30:23] * hazzy-m uploaded an image: Screenshot_2018-10-04_10-30-15.png (16KB) < https://matrix.org >
[10:30:52] <hazzy-m> That was not so bad, just a little math to rotate and translate the painter

[20:52:07] <Lcvette> it had a slider?
[21:07:17] <hazzy-m> The slider was just to provide input for testing

[23:09:45] <hazzy-m> TurBoss: Hello
[23:09:49] <TurBoss> hi
[23:10:14] <TurBoss> I'm not making progress
[23:10:14] <TurBoss> :D
[23:10:41] <TurBoss> I found that the origin moves acording to the g10 commanf
[23:10:47] <TurBoss> but not the path
[23:10:49] <TurBoss> :|
[23:11:10] <hazzy-m> I thought you fixed that the other day?
[23:11:15] <TurBoss> no
[23:11:16] <hazzy-m> It seemed to work
[23:11:20] <TurBoss> bad
[23:11:27] <TurBoss> worked wrong
[23:11:41] <hazzy-m> ah
[23:12:03] <hazzy-m> I didn't test it very hard
[23:14:38] <TurBoss> do you know how is the 3d origin called in source?
[23:14:56] <hazzy-m> no :(
