[12:39:21] <hazzy-m> Py properties are awesome! There is also a pyqtProperty dacorator that can be used the same way as @property

[22:03:45] <Lcvette> Happy bday turboss!!!
[22:04:54] <TurBoss> Thabks
[22:06:16] <Lcvette> 31?
[22:06:50] <Lcvette> You're a old man
[22:12:09] <Lcvette> You need to find a pretty young girl (not too young) to get you birthday soaking from
[23:00:40] <jesseg> 31 is a prime age
[23:05:25] <hazzy> jesseg: Heh, your right!
[23:08:48] <jesseg> :D
[23:08:52] <jesseg> How's it going there hazzy ?
[23:10:43] <jesseg> oh hey I have a question I keep forgetting to ask. So I sort of rebuilt my upper head (well, everything except the spindle bearings LOL) -- and now I'm trying to set the unloader clutch to like 150 to 200 pounds, but it doesn't matter how far I back off the adjuster nut it's still above that, unless I back it off so far it blocks the other mechanisms from working
[23:10:45] <hazzy-m> good, staying busy!
[23:11:12] <jesseg> Is the unloader clutch just a joke that I shouldn't worry about, or is there something wrong if I can't calibrate it to 150-200 pounds?
[23:12:01] <jesseg> Granted, I've removed the power down-feed feature so the unloader clutch is not as important as it was.
[23:12:12] <jesseg> or do they call it the overload clutch
[23:15:14] <hazzy-m> The force it starts slipping at is not critical (obviously), so as long as it is the weak link in the drive system it should be fine. I think the main point of the calibration is to make sure you can provide enough force when drilling without it slipping unintentionally.
[23:16:35] <jesseg> yeah it does that :P
[23:16:55] <jesseg> I just didn't want to get it too tight and have not not the weakest link
[23:23:52] <hazzy-m> One of my professors was researching drill tip geometries and ended up setting it to 700lbs before it would clutch out, and let it clutch out to give consistent force and drilled hundreds of holes like that and nothing broke ... Sounded terrible though.
[23:26:52] <jesseg> I wonder if my brass worm wheel gear can handle that much force LOL.
[23:26:58] <jesseg> maybe it can and I haven't got anything to worry about.
