[10:04:21] <hazzy-m> Lcvette: You might try rezizing all the PB graphics, it should speed up load time significantly
[10:05:01] <hazzy-m> it takes about 4-5s to load the images currently
[10:28:01] <Lcvette> dpm't make me make them bigger
[10:28:02] <Lcvette> \

[11:31:26] <Lcvette> thats what i was thinking
[12:47:50] <Lcvette> I will go through and fix them all at the end once im settled and there are no more changes
[12:48:29] <Lcvette> and probably after i finish each of the different screen sizes as each one may need different sized graphics
[12:49:15] <Lcvette> but for now I thinkn** any that are animated are true to size now so the quality carry's through when turboss works his magik
[12:49:17] <Lcvette> :D
[12:51:53] <Lcvette> turboss, i need to remake the graphic with the dimension lines i see or they will interfere
[12:52:17] <Lcvette> should i make those the same graphic as the chuck?
[12:52:21] <Lcvette> or seperate?
[13:05:17] <TurBoss> individual better

[13:54:02] <hazzy-m> And PB ๐Ÿ˜‚
[13:54:16] <Lcvette> hahahahahaha
[13:54:30] <TurBoss> hazzy: if you manage to apply qss to the butons of offset dialog
[13:54:32] <Lcvette> what size screen is that?
[13:54:36] <TurBoss> that would be awesome
[13:54:40] <TurBoss> looool

[13:56:53] * Lcvette uploaded an image: IMG_20180814_022646.jpg (1266KB) < https://matrix.org >
[13:57:04] <TurBoss> coooool!!
[13:57:09] <hazzy-m> The QSS does apply, is that what you meant?
[13:57:24] <TurBoss> it doesn't
[13:57:34] <TurBoss> I can style |Pusdhbutton
[13:57:38] <Lcvette> turboss whatcha mean about qss?
[13:57:42] * hazzy-m is jelly over Lcvette screen
[13:57:48] <Lcvette> i did stylesheet in designer for buttons
[13:58:01] <TurBoss> on my UI
[13:58:20] <TurBoss> I can't apply style to some buttons inside a dialog
[13:58:22] <TurBoss> :)
[13:58:40] <hazzy-m> Oh, I'll check
[13:58:44] <Lcvette> lcvette isn't following
[13:58:52] <Lcvette> r u talking to me?
[13:58:59] <TurBoss> with hazzy
[13:59:05] <TurBoss> ๐Ÿ˜†
[13:59:10] <TurBoss> sorry :P
[14:00:00] <Lcvette> hazzy they pop up on ebay from time to time very afordable
[14:00:12] <Lcvette> now that i did the vertical layout i kinda really like it
[14:00:43] <Lcvette> would be perfect with the mpg and selectors on the side
[14:00:52] <Lcvette> wouldn't be too wide a panel interface box
[14:01:22] <Lcvette> but my big machine is kinda low and the vertial would be awkward
[14:02:56] <TurBoss> Feed override pot works fantastic with the feed slider
[14:03:02] <TurBoss> it moves too
[14:03:41] <TurBoss> soooo.....
[14:04:20] <TurBoss> qtpyvcp is functional
[14:04:26] <TurBoss> hurray!
[14:05:00] <Roguish> hazzy-m: a while back I saw a configuration picker with more than the standard 3 screens. how can I get that?
[14:06:26] <Roguish> Lcvette: what resolution/display setting is probe_basic made for? 1080? or ?????
[14:07:07] <Lcvette> 1920x1080
[14:07:23] <Lcvette> the vertical is for 1080x1920
[14:07:43] <Roguish> htx
[14:07:46] <Roguish> thx
[14:08:35] <Roguish> good, I have a regular 1080 as 1 of my dual screens on my mill.
[14:09:09] <Roguish> think it's a 24". don't remember exactly
[14:09:20] <TurBoss> 2 full screens will be amazing
[14:09:55] <Roguish> i usually have axis on 1 and run gremlin_view on the other.
[14:11:11] <TurBoss> nice
[14:11:39] <Roguish> maybe I can make my own little status screen, with Ferror, etc,, and put on the 2nd screen.
[14:11:57] <TurBoss> sure
[14:12:24] <TurBoss> qtpyvcp ui's can run with linuxcnc running
[14:12:33] <TurBoss> I think...
[14:13:41] <Lcvette> why do you need ferror?
[14:13:42] <Lcvette> im curious
[14:13:54] <Lcvette> Roguish: ?
[14:16:36] <Lcvette> if you tune the setup well, you should be able to set the ferror allowance pretty tight and then you know its inside that spec or else an alarm will trigger
[14:16:41] <Lcvette> or am i wrong?
[14:16:44] <Roguish> my motors are horribly undersized.
[14:17:21] <Roguish> so I set feed rates to keep the ferror low.
[14:17:24] <hazzy-m> Roguish: QtPyVCP can suport multiple window and screens, so that sould be perfect!
[14:18:24] <Lcvette> could also add some status labels as dro's for the ferror
[14:18:42] <Lcvette> ?
[14:18:54] <Roguish> hazzy-m. i also have a spare 40" tv i could use.
[14:18:56] <Lcvette> Roguish: steppers or servos?
[14:19:36] <hazzy-m> The three standard screens are what are included with qtpyvcp, the other you install separately
[14:19:58] <hazzy-m> you can install TurBoss 's screen with:
[14:20:06] <hazzy-m> pip install git+https://github.com/TurBoss/JauriaCNC.git
[14:20:18] <hazzy-m> and it should show up in the VCP Chooser
[14:20:36] <Roguish> servos. but like I mentioned the motors and drives are way undersized. the mill does not technically belong to me. it's a friends so I am not putting any money into the machine hardware. no bigger motors or drives.
[14:20:54] <Roguish> it's hobby, not business job shop.
[14:21:06] -!- Fred- has joined #hazzy
[14:21:30] <hazzy-m> Hello Fred-
[14:22:43] <Roguish> thx guys. bbl. gotta run out and get some blood lab work done.
[14:23:32] -!- JT-QtPyVCP has quit [Ping timeout: 250 seconds]
[14:35:41] * Lcvette uploaded an image: lath_drill.PNG (309KB) < https://matrix.org >
[14:40:20] * Lcvette uploaded an image: lath_drill_1.PNG (320KB) < https://matrix.org >
[15:23:14] <TurBoss> nice drill pics
[15:31:29] <Fred-> just when I thought the nag screen "Do you really want to quit LinuxCNC? I know it might have been the cat playing with your mouse or something so stand on your head and tell me the truth... DO YOU REALLY WANT TO QUIT????" was just an Axis thing but I see it here too sigh
[16:03:00] <hazzy-m> Fred-: LOL, I hate it too!
[16:03:15] <hazzy-m> you can disable it
[16:04:00] <hazzy-m> either in a custom yml config file or in the actual designer .ui file
[16:04:21] <hazzy-m> maybe I should also add a command line option and INI option to disable it ...
[16:04:37] <TurBoss> cool
[16:04:43] <TurBoss> yaml seems fine to me
[16:05:25] <TurBoss> hazzy: why do you name the yaml options kwargs?
[16:05:32] <TurBoss> they can hold any name
[16:06:16] <hazzy-m> yes, but those are the options that are passed as the kwargs dict to the class when it it initialized
[16:06:31] <hazzy-m> you can also specify args in the yaml files
[16:06:42] <TurBoss> ahhhhh
[16:06:43] <TurBoss> cool
[16:12:27] <JT-Shop> hazzy-m: please do add an ini option to disable it
[16:12:42] <hazzy-m> JT-Shop: doing it right now!
[16:13:01] <hazzy-m> I disable it globaly so I don't notice it :)
[16:13:50] * JT-Shop emails Kurt a Weihenstephan Original
[16:14:31] * hazzy-m pops the top and enjoys
[16:16:08] <TurBoss> I had to google Weihenstephan Original
[16:16:14] <TurBoss> ๐Ÿ˜†
[16:16:29] <JT-Shop> they make it closer to you than me
[16:16:39] <TurBoss> oh
[16:16:55] <TurBoss> I'll try it
[16:17:03] <JT-Shop> they been brewing it since 1040
[16:17:43] <TurBoss> hazzy: the QML things I'm making, I don't know how to make it resizeable to de QtQuickWidget size
[16:17:48] <TurBoss> :|
[16:18:09] <TurBoss> idea
[16:22:09] <TurBoss> ok found something
[16:22:16] <TurBoss> hurray!
[16:31:11] <TurBoss> pushed something for testing
[16:34:42] <hazzy-m> excellent!
[16:35:30] <TurBoss> positions are broken
[16:35:32] <TurBoss> I know
[16:55:55] -!- Fred- has quit [Quit: Leaving]

[16:56:31] -!- Fred- has quit [Client Quit]
[16:56:31] -!- JT-QtPyVCP has quit [Client Quit]
[16:58:26] -!- JT-QtPyVCP has joined #hazzy
[18:13:13] <hazzy-m> the notification bot seems broken :(
[18:19:42] <JT-QtPyVCP> refresh my memory after git pull I need to?
[18:20:06] <hazzy-m> enjoy :)
[18:20:24] <hazzy-m> you should not need to do anything if you have installed with the -e flag
[18:20:38] <JT-QtPyVCP> ok
[18:21:36] <hazzy-m> you can confirm that you are running the latest version from git by running qtpyvcp -v
[18:22:02] <JT-QtPyVCP> QtPyVCP v0.1.4+29.gc8b0a02
[18:22:18] <hazzy-m> yep, that is latest
[18:22:53] <JT-QtPyVCP> how do you start with a blank slate?
[18:24:12] <hazzy-m> you can run pip uninstall qtpyvcp with will delete all the entry point scripts, links, examples etc.
[18:24:24] <hazzy-m> is that what you meant?
[18:24:39] <jthornton> no, I mean how do you start a new vcp from scratch?
[18:24:50] <hazzy-m> Oh!
[18:25:32] <hazzy-m> easyest way is to use the vcp-template, and in designer delete everything in the main window
[18:25:58] <hazzy-m> what should give you a blank slate and a minimal file structure
[18:26:22] <jthornton> I'm also interested in what makes it tick lol
[18:26:24] <TurBoss> cool
[18:27:20] <hazzy-m> all qtpyvcp realy needs to run a VCP is a .ui file, that is be bare minimum
[18:27:25] <jthornton> there seems to be some magic I don't understand yet with editvcp and the old launch script which I'll stop looking at as you deleted it lol
[18:28:10] <hazzy-m> then you can add a YAML config which lets you specify style sheets and custom mainwindo classes and plugins
[18:28:23] <jthornton> I'm not able to run designer and get the extra pyqtvcp stuff
[18:28:33] <jthornton> yaml? that's new to me :)
[18:28:36] <hazzy-m> and then you can creat a full on stand alone VCP which basicly all you have to do is add a __init__.py file
[18:28:50] <jthornton> ok
[18:29:09] <hazzy-m> are the custom widgets not shoing up again?
[18:30:16] <jthornton> they show up if I edit an existing config
[18:31:47] <hazzy-m> hmm, I guess I need to add a way to make a new UI file
[18:31:49] <hazzy-m> LOL
[18:31:58] <JT-QtPyVCP> lol
[18:32:12] <hazzy-m> that is not realy possible right now, you have to start with something
[18:32:18] <TurBoss> createvcpmanager3000
[18:32:20] <JT-QtPyVCP> what needs to be done to add a new UI file?
[18:32:22] <JT-QtPyVCP> ok
[18:33:37] <hazzy-m> a work around is to run
[18:33:39] <hazzy-m> editvcp --ui-file=null.ui
[18:34:00] <hazzy-m> what will pop up designer without any file loaded
[18:34:15] <hazzy-m> then great a new form and save it as whatever you like
[18:34:22] <hazzy-m> great => create
[18:34:25] <JT-QtPyVCP> ah that works
[18:34:31] <JT-QtPyVCP> thanks
[18:34:45] * JT-QtPyVCP starts taking notes now
[18:37:11] <hazzy-m> what would be nice is a new command
[18:37:24] <hazzy-m> qtpyvcp new MyVCP
[18:37:39] <hazzy-m> hmmm, I'll have to work on that
[18:37:56] <JT-QtPyVCP> I assume you can use any name for the ui
[18:38:07] <hazzy-m> yes
[18:38:13] <JT-QtPyVCP> yep that works editvcp --ui-file=fred.ui lol
[18:52:31] <jthornton> time to turn on the magnet ass switch and plant myself in the couch for dinner
[19:20:28] <TurBoss> hazzy do you know what is "la equacion de la recta"?
[19:20:36] <TurBoss> i canf find the translation :P
[19:21:01] <TurBoss> is somthing to rind if 3 points are inline
[19:23:29] <TurBoss> *find
[19:39:08] <hazzy-m> TurBoss: I think it just means the equation of a line
[19:39:14] <hazzy-m> y = mx + b
[19:39:14] <TurBoss> yes
[19:39:23] <TurBoss> I'm dumb with that
[19:39:43] <TurBoss> I want to add it to blender cam addon
[20:11:24] <TurBoss> found this:
[20:11:30] * TurBoss sent a long message: < https://matrix.org >
[20:16:46] <TurBoss> there are 2 ponits
[20:16:53] <TurBoss> with X and Y
[20:16:58] <TurBoss> can I add a Z?

[20:58:01] <TurBoss> this!
[21:31:05] <hazzy-m> TurBoss: you should be able to do it in 3d space as well, I think all you need to do is add another point to the matrix
[21:31:06] <hazzy-m> sek
[21:34:19] <hazzy-m> oh, I forgot about ones!
[21:35:00] <TurBoss> oh cool!
