[14:32:45] <Lcvette> lol
[14:32:48] <TurBoss> yes
[14:32:52] <TurBoss> on my profile
[14:32:57] <TurBoss> clickon verify
[14:35:41] <Lcvette> I CLICKED VERIFY
[14:35:48] <Lcvette> caps, sory
[14:36:38] <TurBoss> yo have to remove unused devices from your riot settings
[14:36:49] <TurBoss> and trust the ones you have on hand
[14:37:10] <TurBoss> very tricky
[14:37:35] <TurBoss> I can read you
[17:27:37] <TurBoss> https://youtu.be
[17:59:10] <jthornton> I wonder if hazzy-m got the van unstuck?
[18:02:24] <jthornton> TurBoss: what I did was drag an action button into my vcp then in the actionName I typed in machine.jog.axis.X.pos as soon as I did that the button was no longer enabled
[18:02:44] <jthornton> the button didn't become enabled until I homed the sim
[18:03:03] <TurBoss> i fixed
[18:03:25] <jthornton> ah ok looking at it now, how can I test that locally?
[18:03:36] <TurBoss> yes
[18:03:36] <TurBoss> sek
[18:04:32] <TurBoss> the easies way is to change to the jog_button branch from git
[18:04:46] <jthornton> I see what you did, ok let me try
[18:05:27] <jthornton> STAT.limit[axisnum] is 0 for False and not 0 for True the axis is on a limit switch?
[18:05:31] <TurBoss> yes apply the patch yoursef is easy
[18:05:53] <hazzy-m> Yes, got the van out finally, headed back to Atlanta now
[18:06:05] <TurBoss> hurray!
[18:06:38] <TurBoss> I havent looked at limits
[18:07:09] <JT-QtPyVCP> I program in python so most of it makes sense to me :)
[18:07:24] <JT-QtPyVCP> just trying to catch up to where you guys are at...
[18:10:14] <jthornton> I wonder if I need to do pip install -e . again after switching branches?
[18:10:33] <TurBoss> no
[18:10:41] <TurBoss> -e is for that iirc
[18:12:59] <jthornton> that's what I thought...
[18:16:27] <jthornton> I wonder if it's still using the machine_actions.pyc file instead of the jog branch .py file
[18:16:42] <jthornton> I see your change in machine_actions.py
[18:17:46] <TurBoss> is safe to remove pyc files
[18:18:48] <TurBoss> hazzy: baned pyc on his machine :O
[18:19:00] <TurBoss> duno how
[18:19:19] <jthornton> yea I had to do pip install -e . to get it to refresh
[18:19:53] <TurBoss> again?
[18:19:54] <TurBoss> ok
[18:20:06] <jthornton> anyway it works now as it should so you can merge that to master if you like
[18:20:20] <TurBoss> ok
[18:21:13] <TurBoss> limits is an extras check too
[18:21:19] <TurBoss> if removed is safe too
[18:21:41] <TurBoss> but doesn't do nothing wrong there
[18:22:11] <jthornton> well if you have both positive and negative limit switches you should be able to jog off of the switch :)
[18:22:42] <jthornton> if you only have one limit then like Axis you have to do something extra like click a checkbox to jog off of the limit
[18:24:47] <jthornton> sys.dont_write_bytecode=True stops the pyc files
[18:26:10] <jthornton> echo "PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=true" >> ~/.bash_profile
[18:28:04] <JT-QtPyVCP> well debian 9 does not have .bash_profile
[18:29:45] <JT-QtPyVCP> hmm echo creates the file :)
[18:30:22] <JT-QtPyVCP> but then that negates the .profile so not good
