[05:51:30] <jthornton> Ingalls in Pascagoula MS we always watched real close anyone that came from a power plant lol
[05:51:32] <jthornton> morning
[09:00:52] <jthornton> hazzy-m: when you build linuxcnc on linux mint 19.1 did you build a deb or just a rip?
[10:25:55] <hazzy-m> jthornton I don't build it on mint, I just modified the buildbot Deb and installed from that
[10:34:58] <jthornton> ah ok
[10:35:14] <jthornton> I'll try that in the morning
[10:46:04] <hazzy-m> jthornton: How do you build a LCNC deb from source?
[10:46:37] <hazzy-m> I think I'll try to open a PR with the changes needed to replace python-imaging with python-pil
[10:47:10] <hazzy-m> I think its only used in image-to-gcode for imagtk
[10:48:18] <JT-Shop> http://gnipsel.com
[10:53:17] <jthornton> that's what I'm working on basically a copy of linux mint 18 with the change to python-pil
[10:55:09] <hazzy-m> thanks! Your docs are already coming in handy!
[10:56:03] <hazzy-m> it would be nice if all the LCNC docs were in the RTD theme, it's so much easyer to navigate
[16:37:39] <jthornton> I narrowed the build problem down to the pdf docs toss an error, I can build the html docs fine but there is no switch to not build the pdf docs with debuild or debian/configure
[16:38:42] <jthornton> hmm I see a depends for asciidoc-dblatex and that is not installed...
[17:43:43] <jthornton> yep that was the issue I just built the deb for master on linux mint 19.1
[17:44:19] <hazzy-m> Hurray!!!
[17:44:47] * hazzy-m needs it
[17:53:07] <jthornton> well crumb gdebi says a dependency is not satisfiable python-gst0.10
[17:54:38] <hazzy-m> hmm, I just installed the master deb a made a few days ago on a virgin mint 19.1 and it didn't complain about that
[17:55:31] <jthornton> damn gscreen and gomaccappy
[17:55:51] <jthornton> the one you modified?
[17:55:59] <hazzy-m> yeah, they take a lot of deps :(\
[17:56:07] <hazzy-m> yes
[17:57:34] <jthornton> ah that is gstreamer whatever that is lol
[17:57:56] <hazzy-m> its used the the camview widget in gscreen
[17:58:06] <jthornton> ah that makes sense
[18:00:01] <jthornton> hmm linuxmint 19 has a newer version of that python-gst-1.0 I wonder if that works?
[18:00:19] <jthornton> if you still have that build can you run gomaccapppy
[18:03:48] <hazzy-m> I don't have python-gst0.10 installed and I have no problem running gmoccapy
[18:04:05] <hazzy-m> I think it must be a build dep, but not an install dep
[18:05:20] <jthornton> it's in debian/control Depends:...
[18:05:38] <jthornton> I wonder if gommaccopy still need that or it's left over from something
[18:05:42] <hazzy-m> hmm, then I wonder whay it did not complain here
[18:06:03] <jthornton> dunno should be the same deb
[18:10:13] <jthornton> time for a head count and tuck the hens in for the night
[18:20:12] <jthornton> did you install with gdebi or use the command line dpkg
[18:20:43] <hazzy-m> I used gdebi
[18:24:41] <jthornton> hmm, I see gscreen says if it is not installed then no audio alerts will be available
[18:25:08] <jthornton> hmm I wonder if the deb I built is different than the buildbot deb you used???
[18:26:39] <hazzy-m> Oh, interesting, I guess it could be
[18:28:11] <jthornton> I'll download the deb in the am during free time and see
[18:29:39] <jthornton> I see Chris has pygst.require("0.10") and not pygst.require("=>0.10") in gscreen.py
[18:31:18] <hazzy-m> I guess that might be a mistake
[18:32:42] <jthornton> I think so
[18:35:45] <jthornton> did you download a deb from this page http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org
[18:36:28] <hazzy-m> Yes, but I used the stretch dist
[18:36:39] <hazzy-m> Instead of wheezy
[18:37:15] <jthornton> damn I wish they would use the numbers I can never remember which stupid name is the latest one
[18:48:39] <jthornton> time to settle into the couch with a bowl of Texas Red (no beans)
[18:53:11] <hazzy-m> Nice! Enjoy
