[07:26:08] <jt-m[m]> does riot only run in a browser?
[09:31:26] -!- Roguish has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
[09:31:51] <hazzy-m> No, there are also mobile and desktop applications
[09:33:15] <jt-m[m]> hmm I thought I installed the desktop app but it just loads the browser
[09:34:31] -!- Roguish has joined #hazzy
[09:35:48] <hazzy-m> The riot desktop app I think is basically a minimal browser, I've never used it though. There are quite a few riot apps out there to choose from
[09:38:29] <jt-m[m]> do you use a desktop app?
[09:38:58] <hazzy-m> no, I just run in the browser
[09:39:45] <hazzy-m> I wish there was a matrix client that was like xchat, they are all too flashy for my fancy
[09:40:21] <jt-m[m]> yea, I saw one but have not tried it out yet a minimal text app I think
[09:41:18] <jt-m[m]> I think I'll try weechat in the morning https://matrix.org
[09:42:00] * jt-m[m] goes to the shop to pack up some shipments of Mesa cards
[09:42:02] <hazzy-m> that is more my speed
[09:42:17] <hazzy-m> to jacobson Instruments?
[09:42:43] <hazzy-m> :)
[09:43:25] <hazzy-m> should be a plug-n-go 5i25 7i76 kit, hehe
[09:54:48] <JT-Shop> yea I think one is for you :)
[09:54:50] <JT-Shop> thanks

[10:32:21] <hazzy-m> testing
[10:32:53] <hazzy-m> /me is using matrix from thunderbird
[10:36:58] -!- Roguish has joined #hazzy
[11:30:28] <jt-m[m]> testing weechat?
[11:44:54] <hazzy-m> yes, I don't understand how to use it, lol
[11:54:04] <jt-m[m]> what's the syntax for position in data channel?
[11:55:41] <hazzy-m> JT-qtpyvcp: position:rel?string&axis=x
[11:55:42] <hazzy-m> position is the plugin, rel is the rel pos DataChannel, and everything after the ? are arguments
[11:55:43] <hazzy-m> string means return a string value, and axis=x specifies that you want the pos of the x axis
[11:57:47] <jt-m[m]> cool, I'll update the docstring
[12:23:21] <Roguish> hey, check it out: Alcatraz

[13:05:05] <jthornton> hazzy-m: is the ampersand an and for arguments like arg1&arg2&arg3 ?
[13:05:28] <hazzy-m> yes
[13:06:44] <hazzy-m> args are seperated by & and passed to the channel as *args, if there is an = in the arg then it is passed to the chan as a **kwarg
[13:08:32] <jthornton> ok that make sense
[13:08:55] * jthornton takes notes while windblows 7 installs on the new hard drive

[18:37:13] <hazzy-m> HURRAY!!!
[18:37:27] <hazzy-m> finaly got a completer in the rules editer!!
[18:39:27] <jthornton> completer?
[18:39:49] <jthornton> oh nice
[18:40:18] <jthornton> does it list them all or do you need to type in status?
[18:41:09] <hazzy-m> it listes them all
[18:41:19] <hazzy-m> auto generated by instpecing the python modules
[18:42:11] <jthornton> sweet!
[18:42:48] <jthornton> that's a huge help!
[18:44:10] <jthornton> do you still have to add things after the plugin like ?string&axis=x

[19:09:14] <JT-qtpyvcp> TurBoss, yes I'm sorting out getting on the matrix
[19:09:36] <TurBoss> hehee cool
[19:10:32] <TurBoss> the advantage is that you are allways online on the irc and have multiple devices at the sime time
[19:10:50] <TurBoss> so here is my desktop
[19:11:18] * TurBoss uploaded an image: 20190212_011102.jpg (49KB) < https://matrix.org >
[19:11:33] <TurBoss> and my mobile :)
[19:13:51] <TurBoss> I witing an addon for the matrix that is bridging the springrts.com ingame chat to here :D
[19:15:08] <JT-qtpyvcp> ok I was wondering about that I see I'm online but I'm not really
[19:15:37] <JT-qtpyvcp> so you can be on multiple pc's or devices at the same time?
[19:15:59] * JT-qtpyvcp can't look at an image out of data
[19:16:19] <JT-qtpyvcp> what is that?
[19:19:15] <hazzy-m> JT-qtpyvcp: yes, you still need to add the arguments
[19:19:26] <hazzy-m> how much data do you get a month?
[19:20:47] <JT-qtpyvcp> 10GB which is usually ok but I left some web pages in the browser and they burned up all my data
[19:21:21] <JT-qtpyvcp> at least you can pick the data channel and that is a huge thing IMHO
[19:23:23] <hazzy-m> I think I use about 30GB per month, so if your carful that would be ok, I'm sure adds and things like that are what kill you
[19:23:40] <hazzy-m> yes, its so much more cenveniant not having to remember what chanels are available
[19:23:41] <TurBoss> mobile plans?
[19:24:04] <hazzy-m> no, house
[19:24:14] * hazzy-m has 1gb mobile
[19:24:15] <TurBoss> download limits in home?=
[19:24:24] <TurBoss> lol
[19:24:29] <TurBoss> is that a thing?=
[19:24:31] <JT-qtpyvcp> it's no meter from 3am to 8am and I try to do all my stuff then
[19:24:51] <JT-qtpyvcp> we have 10GB mobile data between the wife and me
[19:25:06] <TurBoss> normal
[19:26:04] <JT-qtpyvcp> yea setup ad blockers and such helps when you remember lol
[19:27:18] <JT-qtpyvcp> time for some rabbit food here, talk to you guys in the morning
