[15:14:27] <TurBoss> Hello
[15:22:25] <Joco[m]> Morning TurBoss
[15:22:36] <TurBoss> hi Jose Luis (Gitter)
[15:22:45] <TurBoss> * hi Joco
[15:23:57] <TurBoss> cool got the grinder installed?
[15:23:59] * Joco[m] does a little jig
[15:23:59] * Joco[m] I get to collect my new to me SG today
[15:25:40] <Joco[m]> Got quite a bit of shuffling to do in workshop to get it in final position. Today will just be about collecting it. And that could be a mission as never moved one before. I “think” this one is old school wth no ball bearing races.
[16:07:54] <Joco[m]> Need to sit down with the machine manual and figure out correct way to lift/move it. Grabbing a couple of pallets of wife’s work in a couple of hours
[16:08:14] <Joco[m]> * Need to sit down with the machine manual and figure out correct way to lift/move it. Grabbing a couple of pallets from wife’s work in a couple of hours
[16:24:01] <Joco[m]> Found a rather good 2 part vid by Stefan on making a cylindrical grinding jig for a surface grinder. Good for short length parts. Based off a RobinR design which is in turn leveraging the Letric Centres that Tom L and others use.
[16:24:18] <Joco[m]> It seems to be one of Stefans better ones. lol

[18:30:04] <TurBoss> Guys I need some help to figure the correct visualization of the toolpaths when G92 is begin used
[18:34:06] <TurBoss> there is a file that fails to plot correctly
[18:35:05] * TurBoss posted a file: test-circle.ngc (2KB) < https://matrix.org >
[19:28:51] <Joco[m]> Is this for lathe ?
[19:31:15] <Joco[m]> Nope. Just looked it up. “Seems” straight forward. 😂
[20:32:39] <TurBoss> for mill
[22:41:18] <Joco[m]> is it supposed to be a square with little circles at the corners?
[22:57:46] <TurBoss> yes
[22:57:47] <TurBoss> but the set G92 and load another file
[22:57:48] <TurBoss> then load this file again
[23:09:28] <Joco[m]> can't help at the moment. My dev is very brocken. I'm too far off the main branch and its all a bit of a mess.
[23:09:44] <TurBoss> okay no problem
[23:09:48] <TurBoss> ty
[23:10:38] <TurBoss> can we consider G92 as an extra offset like G5X?
[23:11:35] <Joco[m]> From reading the document it is an extra offset but it effects the G5x space
[23:11:50] <TurBoss> oh
[23:12:25] <TurBoss> got it
[23:12:26] <Joco[m]> http://www.linuxcnc.org
[23:13:19] <Joco[m]> it seems to spell out the intended behaviour oretty well
[23:14:31] <Joco[m]> looks like a G92 effects the origins of all G5x
[23:14:44] <TurBoss> >When G92 is executed, the origins of all coordinate systems move
[23:16:33] <TurBoss> okay saw some light
[23:16:34] <TurBoss> \o/
[23:16:34] <TurBoss> I have to loop over all the offsets and add this extra offset
[23:16:34] <TurBoss> makes sense Joco
[23:16:34] <TurBoss> ?¿
[23:17:31] <Joco[m]> not sure. It seems to impact the origins of the G5x co-ord systems.
[23:17:45] <TurBoss> yes yes
[23:17:49] <TurBoss> move the wole thing
[23:17:55] <Joco[m]> and of course once they move everything ese follows
[23:18:21] <Joco[m]> ok - from an implementation angle you know how they offsets all get applied.
[23:18:38] <Joco[m]> * ok - from an implementation angle you know how the offsets all get applied.
