[03:45:28] <TurBoss> some programs doesn't run
[03:45:41] <TurBoss> is anyone having this issue?

[11:26:17] <hazzy-m> Interesting ...
[11:29:22] -!- rmu has joined #linuxcnc-devel
[11:29:49] <skunkworks> TurBoss: tool change related? maybe
[11:30:28] <hazzy-m> 3d chips runs fine here
[11:30:47] <hazzy-m> it does look like it hangs at the toolchange in the vid
[11:34:26] -!- hazzy has joined #linuxcnc-devel
[11:35:04] <TurBoss> Hmmm
[11:51:59] <TurBoss> I can't figure why
[11:52:10] <TurBoss> spindle doesn't turn
[11:52:43] <hazzy-m> Oh, maybe it's a spindle at speed problem
[11:53:15] <hazzy-m> There was a bug with that due to multi-spindle, but it should have been fixed
[11:54:42] <TurBoss> :|
[11:55:07] <TurBoss> I'm on master from buildbot
[11:56:13] <TurBoss> ohhhh
[11:56:59] <TurBoss> it runs if I "start from here" skiping T1M3
[11:57:01] <TurBoss> turns on the spindle and runs
[11:59:27] <TurBoss> *T1M&
[11:59:32] <TurBoss> **T1M6
[12:00:29] <hazzy-m> Ah, so that indicates it's a tool change problem
[12:00:50] <TurBoss> could be my config?
[12:00:54] <TurBoss> it should
[12:02:14] <hazzy-m> I guess it could be, maybe something in hal did not get updated by the update script
[12:02:47] <TurBoss> I'll create a nw config
[12:07:22] <TurBoss> no
[12:07:27] <TurBoss> same error with a new config
[12:12:04] <hazzy-m> Check the spindle pin names, specifically in the tool change section, it could be pcncconf has a bug
[12:12:16] <hazzy-m> HAL pins*
[12:14:38] <TurBoss> hazzy:
[12:14:39] * TurBoss sent a long message: < https://matrix.org >
[12:14:43] <TurBoss> ohhh noooo
[12:14:46] <TurBoss> I DID
[12:14:54] <TurBoss> http://dpaste.com
[12:14:57] <TurBoss> sorry!!!
[12:19:39] <hazzy-m> I'm on mobile so its a little hard, but I don't see any manual tool change stuff in the HAL file
[12:19:55] <TurBoss> all default
[12:19:57] <TurBoss> no worries
[12:20:12] <TurBoss> I have to go
[12:20:14] <TurBoss> thanks
[12:20:43] <hazzy-m> did you check the box for manual toolchange when you made the config?
[12:22:43] <TurBoss> hmmm
[12:24:23] <TurBoss> no
[12:24:28] <TurBoss> just require home to allow MDI
[12:37:12] <skunkworks> hazzy-m: fusion doesn't scold me that I am running software video acceleration anymore..
[12:38:58] <hazzy-m> skunkworks: Nice!
[12:40:16] <hazzy-m> I need to set up F360 in a VM, it would be some much more convenient than switching HDDs, booting win10, and then waiting for hours for the updates to model one little part
[12:44:24] <skunkworks> right - I also have 10 on a second harddrive in this laptop but I don't like runing win10
[12:44:42] * skunkworks hugs this laptop
[12:45:57] <skunkworks> it is usable in a vm using virtual video.. it is a pain though..
[12:46:19] <skunkworks> virtualbox does better iirc but doesn't play well with rt_preempt

[16:38:33] <seb_kuzminsky> the jessie-rtpreempt-amd64 build vm seems pretty well horked
[16:38:38] <seb_kuzminsky> rebooting it now
[16:45:24] <TurBoss> jthornton, hazzy : I found that axis sim from default installation works fine
[16:45:32] <TurBoss> *AXIS
[16:45:51] <TurBoss> so must be somthing I missing
[16:46:01] <TurBoss> :_)
[16:46:31] <seb_kuzminsky> linuxcnc-build: force build --branch=master 0000.checkin
[16:47:56] <Tom_L> does that not echo here anymore?
[17:24:03] <seb_kuzminsky> Tom_L: yeah, it does not, since we turned off voice for unregistered users during the spam storm
[17:26:02] <Tom_L> ahh ok
[17:37:52] <TurBoss> oh I found my issue :)
[17:38:24] <TurBoss> withoutn the manual toolchange prompt t1M3 does nothing
[17:38:38] <TurBoss> *m6
[17:40:48] <Tom_L> :)
[18:04:16] <jepler> 11:14:38 <TurBoss> hazzy:
[18:04:16] <jepler> 11:14:39 * TurBoss sent a long message: < https://matrix.org >
[18:04:36] <jepler> hey not sure if you can configure "matrix" to not pull this s--t but it's not appropriate for IRC.
[18:04:41] <jepler> afk
[19:04:19] <jepler> on reflection my comment was not helpful. Instead, I should have said something more like: Just in case you're not aware, this is a thing that "matrix" is doing, and it doesn't fit well with the way I would prefer to use IRC.
[19:38:55] <skunkworks> what is up with the matrix?
[19:54:02] -!- andypugh has joined #linuxcnc-devel
[20:09:48] <hazzy-m> jepler (IRC): your comment was fine, and appreciated.
[20:10:06] <hazzy-m> I guess TurBoss's message of dismay immediately following did not make it sufficiently obvious that it was a user error...
[20:10:19] <hazzy-m> he accidentally pasted the entire content of the HAL file, rather then the paste bin link (which is an easy error and could happen with any IRC client).
[20:10:30] <hazzy-m> Rather than spam the chan with 288 lines of HAL code, matrix spared us that and used its own (rather crude) paste service.
[20:12:04] <hazzy-m> I agree it is not an ideal way to handle it, and that is an ugly link :)

[20:53:20] -linuxcnc-github:#linuxcnc-devel- [13linuxcnc] 15andypugh commented on issue #500: Just one thing. If this is uspace then then I think that the pncconf "test/tune axis" button will error, due to #159 only being fixed in master. ... 02https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/pull/500#issuecomment-433758987
