[14:25:17] <KimK> Yay, c-log lives! Good job, c-log.

[15:50:16] <skunkworks> pcw_home: P1 - pin1 is upper left and you count counter clock wise? so the pin opposite of pin1 is pin26?
[16:02:03] <pcw_mesa> Headers are numbered:
[16:02:05] <pcw_mesa> *1 *2
[16:02:06] <pcw_mesa> *3 *4
[16:02:08] <pcw_mesa> ...
[16:02:09] <pcw_mesa> *25*26
[16:02:30] <pcw_mesa> Pin 1 has square pad
[16:03:17] <skunkworks> really?
[16:03:45] <skunkworks> :) So just like the manual....
[16:06:40] <skunkworks> so - i/o 26 and 27 are actually pin 11 and 13
[16:07:18] <skunkworks> so abut half way down the left side left side of the header pin
[16:07:48] <skunkworks> (you setup a bit file with smart serial on t P1)
[16:08:26] <pcw_mesa> Yeah theres some weirdness because of the parallel port ground compatibility
[16:10:02] <pcw_mesa> the manual has the header pinout (though does not show the DB25 equivalents)
[16:11:07] <pcw_mesa> beware that mesaflash shows the DB25 pins
[16:13:56] <skunkworks> pcw_home: that is what threw me off
[16:14:22] <skunkworks> if I go i/o to hdr pins from the manual - it makes sense
[16:22:33] <skunkworks> pcw_home: how short should the wires be between the plug and line driver?
[16:24:25] <skunkworks> pcw_home: http://electronicsam.com
[17:20:53] <skunkworks> wow - that acutally worked
[17:21:37] <skunkworks> so the only oddness is the pins changed from hm2_7i92.0.stbl.0.1. to hm2_7i92.0.stbl.0.0.
[17:30:43] -!- samandella_ has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds]
[17:35:40] <skunkworks> pcw_mesa: http://electronicsam.com
[17:35:49] <skunkworks> now to heat shrink it... ;)
[17:36:48] <skunkworks> well - I should add a cap on the supply
[17:39:54] <pcw_mesa> yeah a bypass would not be amiss
[17:45:04] <pcw_mesa> Bypasses are somewhat black magic, akin to firecrackers for warding off evil spirits, can't have too many...
[17:45:24] <skunkworks> heh- pepper them on...
[17:46:06] <pcw_mesa> I wonder how many designers have "Muntzed" bypasses to see how many are really needed?
[17:48:01] <skunkworks> I think there has been some info on that.. version 1 of the widget worked great - version 2 dosn't - removed caps..
[17:50:57] <pcw_mesa> power supply noise is quite random seeming (since various noise sources can add and subtract) so you are never quite sure of your margins
[17:51:26] <pcw_mesa> hence a tendency to overkill
[18:00:14] <pcw_mesa> You could have remained at hm2_7i92.0.stbl.0.1 by choosing the second sserial channel on the header
[18:00:56] <pcw_mesa> I think there are 4 channels
[18:21:18] <skunkworks> yes.. the fist ss channel is used on yhe 7i76?
[18:39:20] <pcw_mesa> Yes for field I/O
