[21:18:28] <hazzy-m> andypugh: Hurray!!!
[21:18:57] <hazzy-m> getting any closer to merging state-tags?
[21:19:14] <andypugh> It was an experiment, mainly. I don’t actually know what it does in detail.
[21:19:59] <andypugh> But andypugh/statetags-200328 is a merge of statetags and todays master that builds and runs.
[21:20:33] <cradek> neat
[21:20:48] <andypugh> Some tests fail, but we could merge it today. If we really wanted to.
[21:21:04] <cradek> iirc it had known bugs...
[21:21:22] <andypugh> And the “we” is the problem, as LinuxCNC seems to have lost the ability to make any decisions at all.
[21:22:31] <andypugh> The buildbot runtests output should be there for all to see. At least some of it seems like it might be “extrajoints” related.
[21:23:36] <andypugh> The main obstacle to an automatic merge was “multispindle” but luckily I knew how to work that out. Mainly by cheating and only reporting tags for spindle 0.
[21:23:57] <hazzy-m> statetags it pretty old, so I would not be surprised if it has bugs related to multispindle etc. being merged
[21:24:26] <hazzy-m> oh, so you already worked on that, fantastic!
[21:25:35] <andypugh> Does master currently pass runtests?
[21:25:51] <andypugh> I think it does
[21:27:28] <andypugh> One thing I was seeing in runtests was motion-logger/abort aborting 16 joints.
[21:49:54] <andypugh> It seems that current master does not pass runtests. But in different ways to statetags-200328
[22:37:21] -!- andypugh has quit [Quit: andypugh]
