[09:22:30] <GrandPa-G> For a program I was given to update, they use QtCore.QMetaObject.connectSlotsByName(MainWindow). They name each widget, like saleBtn. I understand the concept of how a signal is generated. I see there a def for on_saleBtn_released. Does this the connectbyname maps all possible events for the widget?

[09:34:56] <GrandPa-G> From what I have been given, it looks no designer was ever used. All the widgets are hard coded

[09:38:46] <GrandPa-G> yes i have looked at that. it gives example of clicked event. does the "matching signals" mean any of the other possible signals for the widget, thus released is connected?
